There is no charge for the use of this software. ReluxCAD - a plug-in interface for AutoCAD that allows the transfer of projects to and from ReluxPro. A time restricted trial version is included with ReluxSuite, a license must be purchased for continued use. ReluxLum - a program used to view and edit luminaire data. Use of the program as a viewer is free of charge, a license must be purchased to use the program as an editor. How do I download and install ReluxSuite You must have administrator rights on your machine to be able to install the software. Go to http://www.relux.biz Select your language for browsing the site Select "PRODUCTS" from the top of the next screen The next page has a list of all program versions available for download. Choose the section you require (ReluxSuite). Click the "download" link. Save the application, you must define the location on your system where the file is to be saved so that you can find it. The file will save to your system as an executable file. When the download finishes close the web link go to the saved file and double click on it to start the installation process. Follow the on screen instructions. When it has installed, use 'ReluxUpdate' in the 'ReluxSuite' / 'Tools' program group to automatically check and update your program, and add any manufacturer's databases that you require. You will need to register your details with Relux How do I install or update manufacturer's databases and update my Relux programs? To choose to download a database, tick the required check box. How do I order Relux products and services? Please send us an email with your details and the details of what you want to order to: relux@42partners.com we will reply to your email with payment details. Generally we will ask you to telephone us with credit card information. We accept payment by credit card, bank transfer and cheque. A license key and a VAT invoice will be e-mailed to you when payment has been received. You cannot place orders directly from the Relux web site. How do I obtain a physical copy of a program? There is no need to have a physical copy of a program, they are available for download from the Relux web site. The primary distribution method for Relux software is by download. The latest download should be used for installing software, and regular on-line updates should be performed. It is possible to receive a physical copy (CD or DVD) by courier or post, but there is a charge for this extra service. This facility is offered for a few companies who require a purchase to include a physical delivery in order to make a payment. Please note that even with a physical copy, it is still necessary to be able to connect to the web site in order to update the program, and a download installation should always be used in preference to a CD or DVD. Yes, Relux software runs under all Windows versions as of Windows NT 4.0, this includes Windows_2000, Windows_XP, Windows_Vista and Windows_7. What are the hardware requirements for ReluxPro? Graphics cards: ReluxPro is a complex real time 3D environment, the capabilities of the graphics card are important, the card must support 65,000 colours, and must fully support OpenGL, a list of approved graphics cards can be found at http://www.solidworks.com/pages/services/VideoCardTesting.html Minimum requirements: For Windows XP Systems: Pentium Processor 400MHz, 256Mb Ram, 1Gb free space on installation drive. For Windows Vista Systems: The minimum requirements for running Windows Vista & Windows 7 are 1GHZ processor speed with 1GB RAM which will allow ReluxProfessional to run. A minimum specification machine will not allow smooth rotation of rendered scenes. For intermediate use we recommend: For Windows XP Systems 2GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 10GB free space on the installation drive. For Windows Vista & Windows 7 Systems 2GHz processor, 1.5GB RAM, 10GB free space on the installation drive. For top end power use we recommend: For Windows XP Systems 2GHz processor, 1GB or more of RAM, 10GB free space on the installation drive. For Windows Vista & Windows 7 Systems 2GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 10GB free space on the installation drive. It is recommended that there is at least 15% free space on the hard drive to successfully run the Windows operating system, large and complex schemes will require additional space to this minimum. Users who expect to be able to manipulate complex schemes rich in 3D objects will benefit from increased RAM, increased processor speed and faster graphics cards. Is Relux software available in an Apple Macintosh version? Relux software is only available to run under the Windows operating system, an Apple Macintosh version is not available. We have several customers using Relux software on an Apple Macintosh using windows emulators including "Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac" and "Parallels Desktop for Mac". How do I calculate in ReluxPro? Select menu options 'Light Calculation' 'Artificial Light'. User manuals are available in the Help section of the ReluxSuite program group. What training is available for Relux products? 42 Partners offer various training courses to enable you to make the most of Relux software, including ReluxPro_Access, ReluxPro_Intermediate_I, ReluxPro_Intermediate_II with optional additional modules for ReluxVision and ReluxCAD, and a lighting awareness course.
