Being involved an all aspects of lighting, the addition of a lighting design facility to our company was almost inevitable. With our unique knowledge of photometric performance and our ability to design special luminaires, it seems only natural that we should then produce lighting schemes showing the effect of the luminaires installed and in action.

42 Partners are unique in having the total lighting solution - design and model , photometric data production and finally a lighting scheme to meet the clients requirements. These abilities have been used to produce luminaires for such diverse purposes as special uplights for major retail applications and road tunnel reflectors to meet the exacting standards of the UK Highways Agency.

Using data generated in our laboratory or data in any format from manufacturers or other laboratories we can generate lighting design schemes via computer modelling to show the effect of any type of luminaire in any type of location. Reports are produced showing the disposition of lighting fixtures and resultant illuminance or luminance in both easy to view graphical format and with detailed tabulated lighting values. Our Engineers have decades of experience in all aspects of lighting and take many of the uncertainties out of theoretical lighting plots which ensure that. What you see is what you get.

Our latest addition is the use of RELUX computer aided Lighting Design software. This powerful pacakge not only allows accurate prediction of illuminance and luminance information in tabulated, iso contour or mountain plot, but also allows the use of numerous room shapes, colour selection of all room surfaces. Additional features such as the ability to add windows, doors, furniture allows the ability to produce photo realistic visulisations of an illuminated interior or exterior installation as well as the facility to add daylighting, if required.
